महाकुंभ में भगदड़ हादसे की जांच

महाकुंभ मेले के दौरान 29 जनवरी 2025 को प्रयागराज में हुई भगदड़ की घटना में लगभग 40 श्रद्धालुओं की मृत्यु हो गई और 90 से अधिक घायल हो चुके है । यह हादसा उस समय हुआ जब लाखों लोग पवित्र नदियों में स्नान के लिए एकत्रित हो गए थे। कुछ प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, भीड़ के दबाव और मार्गों के बंद होने के कारण दम घुटना और गिरने की वजह से घटना हुईं।

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने इस घटना की न्यायिक जांच के आदेश दिआ हैं। इसके लिए तीन सदस्यीय आयोग का गठन किया गया है, जिसमें उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश हर्ष कुमार, पूर्व डीजीपी वी.के. गुप्ता, और पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी डी.के. सिंह शामिल हैं। यह आयोग निर्धारित समय सीमा में अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेगे ।

विपक्षी नेताओं ने इस घटना के लिए भीड़ प्रबंधन में कमी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया है और भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए बेहतर योजना और संसाधनों के उपयोग की मांग करि है। विशेषज्ञों का सुझाव है कि आधुनिक तकनीक और अधिक कर्मियों की तैनाती से भीड़ प्रबंधन में सुधार किया जा सकता है।

महाकुंभ मेला हर 12 वर्ष में आयोजित होता है और इस वर्ष इसमें लगभग 400 मिलियन श्रद्धालुओं के शामिल होने की उम्मीद है। आगामी ‘शाही स्नान’ के अवसरों पर विशेष सतर्कता बरतने की आवश्यकता है, ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं पर लगाम लगाई जा सके।

Investigation into the stampede accident in Mahakumbh

About 40 devotees died and more than 90 were injured in a stampede incident in Prayagraj on 29 January 2025 during the Mahakumbh fair. The incident occurred when lakhs of people had gathered to take bath in holy rivers. According to some eyewitnesses, the incident occurred due to suffocation and collapse due to the pressure of the crowd and the closure of the routes.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident. A three-member commission has been formed for this, which includes former High Court judge Harsh Kumar, former DGP VK Gupta, and former IAS officer DK Singh. This commission will submit its report within the stipulated time frame.

Opposition leaders have blamed the lack of crowd management for this incident and have demanded better planning and use of resources to prevent such incidents in future. Experts suggest that crowd management can be improved by deploying modern technology and more personnel.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years and this year around 400 million devotees are expected to attend it. There is a need to be extra cautious on the upcoming ‘Shahi Snan’ occasions so that such incidents can be curbed in future.
