उत्तर प्रदेश के कन्नौज रेलवे स्टेशन पर निर्माणाधीन छत का स्लैब शनिवार, 11 जनवरी, 2025 को लगभग 4:21 बजे IST पर गिर गया, जिससे लगभग दो दर्जन मज़दूर फंस गए।

बचाव अभियान जारी है, जिसमें छह मज़दूरों को पहले ही बचा लिया गया है और उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया है। ज़िला मजिस्ट्रेट शुभ्रांत कुमार शुक्ल ने बताया कि यह घटना तब हुई जब निर्माणाधीन छत की शटरिंग गिर गई। सभी उपलब्ध संसाधनों का उपयोग करके फंसे हुए मज़दूरों को बचाना प्राथमिकता है। इसके अलावा, रिपोर्ट बताती है कि अब तक कम से कम 23 लोगों को बचाया जा चुका है, जबकि कुछ के अभी भी मलबे में दबे होने की आशंका है।

District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla said the incident occurred when shuttering of the under-construction roof collapsed. The priority is to rescue the trapped workers using all available resources. Further, reports suggest that at least 23 people have been rescued so far, while some are still feared trapped under the debris.
