“Game Changer” is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language political action film directed by S. Shankar, his first attempt in Telugu cinema. The film stars Ram Charan in a dual role, playing an honest IAS officer named Ram Nandan and his father Appanna, who is committed to eradicating corruption. Kiara Advani plays the lead female role, with Anjali, Samuthirakani, S. J. Suryah and Srikanth in notable supporting roles.
The story focuses on Ram Nandan’s fight against corrupt politicians, including Chief Minister Bobbili Moppidevi, who undermine his father’s dream of a corruption-free nation. Complicating matters, Ram Nandan’s brother, Charan IPS, is a corrupt police officer in cahoots with Moppidevi.
Produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film is estimated to have a budget between ₹350–400 crores. The technical crew includes composer Thaman S, cinematographer Tiru and editors Shameer Muhammad and Ruben. Filming began in October 2021 and ended in July 2024, covering locations in Japan, China, Malaysia, Cambodia and New Zealand.
“Game Changer” is scheduled to release in cinemas on January 10, 2025, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. The film will be available in multiple formats including standard, IMAX, 4DX, Dolby Cinema and Qube EPIQ.
Advance bookings have reportedly been strong, indicating high anticipation among audiences.
The film’s promotional material, including the teaser released on November 9, 2024, and the official trailer unveiled on January 2, 2025, have garnered significant attention, further raising expectations for its release.
