डिजिटल गिरफ्तारी के माध्यम से 45 लाख की ठगी: पश्चिम बंगाल के बैरकपुर में साइबर फ्रॉड गिरोह के चौथे सदस्य ऋतिक कुमार सिंह को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उसने मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच का अधिकारी बनकर एक व्यवसायी को डिजिटल गिरफ्तारी के माध्यम से 45.86 लाख रुपये की ठगी को अंजाम दिया था।

छपरा के मशरक थाना क्षेत्र के नेहरू टोला निवासी विकास कुमार सिंह के साथ 45.86 लाख रुपये की ठगी का मामला सामने आया है। साइबर अपराधियों ने मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच के अधिकारी बनकर उन्हें वीडियो कॉल के माध्यम से ‘डिजिटल गिरफ्तारी’ का झांसा दिया और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक फर्जी आवेदन पर ऑनलाइन हस्ताक्षर करवा लिया था । जांच के नाम पर, इन अपराधियों ने उनके खाते से उक्त राशि निकाल ली है ।

इस मामले में, सारण साइबर थाना पुलिस ने पहले उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजियाबाद से तीन आरोपियों—विकास शर्मा, सुभाष पाल, और सुनीता देवी—को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया था। ताजा कार्रवाई में, पश्चिम बंगाल के 24 परगना जिले के बेहला थाना क्षेत्र से चौथे आरोपी, ऋतिक कुमार सिंह, को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। ऋतिक के बैंक खाते में 15 लाख रुपये ट्रांसफर किया गया था।

साइबर डीएसपी अमन कुमार के अनुसार, इस गिरोह के अन्य सदस्यों की तलाश जारी है, और पुलिस तकनीकी जांच के माध्यम से मामले की गहराई से पड़ताल कर रही है। उन्होंने जनता से अपील की है कि अनजान कॉल्स से सतर्क रहें और किसी भी अनजान व्यक्ति को अपनी व्यक्तिगत या बैंक संबंधी जानकारी साझा न करि जाये ।

45 lakh fraud through digital arrest: Hrithik Kumar Singh, the fourth member of the cyber fraud gang, has been arrested in Barrackpore, West Bengal. He had defrauded a businessman of Rs 45.86 lakh through digital arrest by posing as an officer of Mumbai Crime Branch.

A case of fraud of Rs 45.86 lakh has come to light with Vikas Kumar Singh, a resident of Nehru Tola of Masrakh police station area of Chhapra. Cyber criminals, posing as Mumbai Crime Branch officers, lured him with ‘digital arrest’ through video call and got him to sign a fake application of the Supreme Court online. In the name of investigation, these criminals have withdrawn the said amount from his account.

In this case, Saran Cyber Police Station Police had earlier arrested three accused—Vikas Sharma, Subhash Pal, and Sunita Devi—from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. In the latest action, the fourth accused, Hrithik Kumar Singh, has been arrested from Behala police station area of 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Rs 15 lakh was transferred to Hrithik’s bank account.

According to Cyber DSP Aman Kumar, the search for other members of this gang is on, and the police is investigating the matter in depth through technical investigation. He has appealed to the public to be cautious of unknown calls and not to share their personal or bank related information with any unknown person.
