यह घटना छपरा जिले के गंगा घाट पर हुई, जहां बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर स्नान करने के लिए एकत्रित हुए थे। मृतका की पहचान पार्वती देवी (65) के रूप में हुई है, जो अपने परिवार के साथ गंगा स्नान करने आई थीं। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, स्नान के दौरान उनका पैर फिसल गया और वह गहरे पानी में बह गईं।

स्थानीय लोगों ने की बचाने की कोशिश

हादसे के तुरंत बाद घाट पर मौजूद लोगों ने पार्वती देवी को बचाने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन नदी की तेज धारा के कारण वह कुछ ही पलों में लापता हो गईं। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही स्थानीय गोताखोर और प्रशासन की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और तलाशी अभियान शुरू किया। लगभग तीन घंटे की कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद उनका शव तीन किलोमीटर दूर नदी के किनारे मिला।

प्रशासन की प्रतिक्रिया

स्थानीय प्रशासन ने घटना पर दुख जताया और भविष्य में इस तरह की घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए अतिरिक्त सुरक्षा उपाय करने की बात कही। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि स्नान के दौरान घाटों पर पुलिस बल और गोताखोरों की तैनाती की गई थी, लेकिन श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ के कारण यह हादसा हो गया।

परिवार का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल

पार्वती देवी के परिवार में इस घटना के बाद शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है। परिजनों ने प्रशासन से घाटों पर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को और मजबूत करने की मांग की है, ताकि भविष्य में इस तरह की घटनाओं से बचा जा सके।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि गंगा घाट पर सुरक्षा के पुख्ता इंतजाम किए जाने चाहिए। कार्तिक पूर्णिमा जैसे बड़े अवसरों पर घाटों पर पर्याप्त संख्या में नाव, रस्सी और गोताखोरों की व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए, जिससे किसी भी अनहोनी को रोका जा सके।

सरकार से की गई मांग

घटना के बाद स्थानीय लोगों और जनप्रतिनिधियों ने सरकार से मांग की है कि गंगा स्नान के दौरान सुरक्षा इंतजामों को और कड़ा किया जाए। इसके अलावा, डूबने से बचाव के लिए घाटों पर बैरिकेडिंग और चेतावनी बोर्ड लगाने की भी मांग की गई है।

Chhapra, Bihar – A tragic incident has come to light in Chhapra district, where an elderly woman died due to drowning in Ganga river during Kartik bath. This accident has become a matter of concern for the local devotees and the administration.

How did the accident happen?

The incident took place at the Ganga Ghat in Chhapra district, where a large number of devotees had gathered to take a bath on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. The deceased has been identified as Parvati Devi (65), who had come to take a bath in the Ganga with her family. According to eyewitnesses, her foot slipped during the bath and she was swept away into the deep water.

Local people tried to save her

Immediately after the accident, the people present at the ghat tried to save Parvati Devi, but due to the strong current of the river, she went missing within a few moments. As soon as the incident was reported, the local divers and administration team reached the spot and started the search operation. After about three hours of hard work, her body was found on the banks of the river three kilometers away.

Administration’s response

The local administration expressed grief over the incident and said that additional security measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in future. Officials said that police force and divers were deployed on the ghats during the bathing, but this accident happened due to the huge crowd of devotees.
