अपराध और घटनाएँ:
सड़क दुर्घटना में शिक्षक की मौत: शनिवार की शाम को स्कूल से घर लौट रहे दो शिक्षकों की एकमा-छपरा मुख्य मार्ग पर सड़क दुर्घटना में दुखद मौत हो गई।
शिक्षा:
कागज़ पर प्रायोगिक परीक्षाएँ आयोजित: सारण जिले के 236 प्लस-टू स्कूलों में प्रायोगिक परीक्षाएँ शुरू हो गई हैं। हालाँकि, कई छात्रों ने कथित तौर पर प्रयोगशालाओं में प्रवेश ही नहीं किया है, जिससे उनके व्यावहारिक ज्ञान को लेकर चिंताएँ हैं। कुछ प्रयोगशालाएँ सालों से बंद हैं।
स्कूलों में ‘पोषण वाटिका’ की स्थापना: बिहार सरकार छात्रों में पोषण जागरूकता और आत्मनिर्भरता बढ़ाने के लिए राज्य द्वारा संचालित स्कूलों में ‘पोषण वाटिका’ (पोषण उद्यान) स्थापित करने की योजना बना रही है।
प्रशासन और शासन:
जिला मजिस्ट्रेट की जन सुनवाई: छपरा में जिला मजिस्ट्रेट द्वारा जन सुनवाई की गई, जिसमें भूमि, स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा और अन्य विभागों से संबंधित 31 शिकायतों का समाधान किया गया।
आवासीय विद्यालय का निरीक्षण: उप विकास आयुक्त ने छपरा में बालिका प्लस-टू आवासीय विद्यालय और छात्रावास का निरीक्षण किया, सुविधाओं की समीक्षा की और ठंड के मौसम में छात्राओं के सामने आने वाली समस्याओं का समाधान किया।
कानून व्यवस्था:
पुलिस ने व्यवसायी को लूटा: एक चौंकाने वाली घटना में, पुलिस अधिकारियों ने कथित तौर पर एक व्यवसायी को शराब मामले में फंसाने की धमकी देकर उससे 32 लाख रुपये की वसूली की। थाना प्रभारी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है, जबकि चालक फरार है।
पुलिस टीम पर हमला: अवैध बालू खनन के खिलाफ छापेमारी कर रही पुलिस टीम पर बालू माफियाओं ने हमला कर दिया, जिससे एक कांस्टेबल घायल हो गया। टीम ने अवैध गतिविधि में शामिल सात ट्रैक्टर और एक जेसीबी को जब्त करने में कामयाबी हासिल की।
परिवहन:
विशेष मेमू ट्रेन सेवा: छपरा के रास्ते पाटलिपुत्र और बलिया के बीच एक विशेष मेमू ट्रेन सेवा शुरू की गई है। ट्रेन छपरा जंक्शन से प्रतिदिन दोपहर 3:20 बजे रवाना होगी और शाम 5:45 बजे पाटलिपुत्र पहुंचेगी।
सामुदायिक और सामाजिक मुद्दे:
चोरी की घटनाएं: दरियापुर में सीएसपी और किराना दुकान में चोरी समेत कई चोरियां सामने आई हैं, जहां हजारों की नकदी और सामान चोरी हो गया। एक अन्य घटना में तरैया में तीन दुकानों को निशाना बनाया गया, जिसमें करीब ₹5 लाख की संपत्ति चोरी हो गई।

Police loot businessman: In a shocking incident, police officials allegedly extorted Rs 32 lakh from a businessman by threatening to implicate him in a liquor case. The station in-charge has been arrested, while the driver is absconding.
Attack on police team: A police team conducting a raid against illegal sand mining was attacked by sand mafia, injuring a constable. The team managed to seize seven tractors and a JCB involved in the illegal activity.

Special MEMU train service: A special MEMU train service has been introduced between Patliputra and Ballia via Chhapra. The train will leave Chhapra Junction daily at 3:20 pm and reach Patliputra at 5:45 pm.

Incidents of theft: Several thefts have been reported including theft at a CSP and grocery shop in Dariyapur where cash and goods worth thousands were stolen. In another incident, three shops were targeted in Taraiya where property worth about ₹5 lakh was stolen.
