Crowd of devotees gathered in Mahabodhi Temple: Number of visitors increased after Makar Sankranti
Gaya, Bihar – The world famous Mahabodhi Temple located in Gaya district of Bihar has been witnessing a huge crowd of devotees and tourists since Makar Sankranti. Devotees from all over the country and abroad are arriving here to visit and worship the sacred Bodhi tree of Lord Buddha.

Local traders are also benefiting from the increase in the number of devotees visiting the temple. Shopkeepers selling flowers, prasad, and souvenirs said that their sales have increased by 30-40% after Makar Sankranti.

Mahabodhi Temple is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is the same place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Lakhs of devotees come here every year to see the Bodhi tree.

The temple administration said that special pujas and meditation sessions will be organized in the coming days. A large number of devotees are expected to come to participate in these events.
