प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, किऊल स्टेशन से ट्रेन के खुलने के बाद चार अपराधियों ने धर्मेंद्र के सिर में गोली मारी और चेन पुलिंग कर ट्रेन से उतरकर फरार हो गए। धर्मेंद्र के पास से जमीन और कानूनी मामलों से संबंधित कागजात मिले हैं, जिससे प्रथम दृष्टया यह मामला जमीन विवाद से जुड़ा प्रतीत होता है।
पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है और मामले की जांच जारी है। रेल डीएसपी जावेद अहमद ने बताया कि मृतक के घर से भी जानकारी जुटाई जा रही है। गौरतलब है कि पिछले साल 25 जून को भी पटना-गया रूट पर इसी तरह की घटना में एक प्रॉपर्टी डीलर की हत्या की गई थी।
इस घटना से यात्रियों में दहशत का माहौल है, और पुलिस अपराधियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए प्रयासरत है।

The police have sent the body for post-mortem and the investigation of the case is going on. Railway DSP Javed Ahmed said that information is also being collected from the house of the deceased. It is worth noting that on June 25 last year, a property dealer was killed in a similar incident on the Patna-Gaya route.
The incident has created panic among passengers, and police are working to arrest the culprits.
